I love Stampin’ Up!s Bright Blossoms stamp set. It has been on my wish list forever and I finally got it! (For free, one of the perks of being a demonstrator is the free products that you can earn!) I was in the mood for a bright and cheerful card today and it seems like a requirement to use this stamp set if you want a bright card!!!
Card Details:
Papers: Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Pacific Point card stock, Pacific Point Designer Paper from the Brights Designer Paper Stack
Stamp Sets: Bright Blossoms and Petite Pairs sentiment set
Inks: Melon Mambo, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Brights Designer Buttons, Rhinestones, Melon Mambo ribbon, Whisper White Ribbon, Decorative Label Punch
This card gave me a chance to use my scraps. All of the card stock came from my saved scraps folders except the Melon Mambo that I used for the card base. I didn’t even have to cut anything because I used the papers as I found them in my folder. I’ve been forcing myself to get in the habit of reaching for card stock from my scrap files first before I cut a new piece. I’m really using that file and I’ve also become really good about taking that 5 minutes at the end of my crafting session to file the scraps in the folders, put the punches away and tidy up my desk. I love finding a clean desk when I go to sit down the next morning. I feel instantly more creative when I have a tidy space to start with! (That’s not to say that my house is necessarily tidy at any given moment, or at any moment at all!!)
My challenge for you today: Make a card that makes you happy!
