Stampin’ Up!s Stippled Blossoms Meets My 8 Card Challenge!

By | 02/08/2013

I’ve been hoarding my Stampin’ Up! Stippled Blossom Stamp Set.  Why?  Well, I keep seeing so many beautiful cards on Pinterest made with this amazing stamp set.  It was like idea overload!!  I decided to pull it off my shelf and get going! What am I waiting for?  I have all the inspiration and ideas I need.

stippledblossomsKeep in mind that I have been challenging my card designs all week to only use three pieces of card stock.  The background is Whisper White cut at 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2″.  I used a corner rounder on the bottom edges of the front and the back of the card.  I love that little touch lately.

I punched a Read Red label using my Decorative Label Punch (#120907).  This was punched from the middle of the red piece and then covered with the white mat!  The Real Red mat is cut at 2-3/4 x 4-1/4″, while the Whisper White mat is cut at 2-1/4 x4″.

I used the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (#127751) to emboss only the bottom of the card.  You can see that I stamped the flowers on the Whisper White mat.  I stamped the solid background images from Stippled Blossoms (#126747) in Regal Rose and the stippled top images in Melon Mambo.  I added some Old Olive leaves using just the solid leaf stamp from the same set.  I didn’t try to line it up perfectly.  I love the slightly off look!  (Sorry to all the perfectionists out there!)

I finished the card off using one of the scraps that I had from the original cutting of my card stock.  I punched part of the decorative label from one of the left over strips and used the Thank You sentiment from my Lacy and Lovely stamp set (#122887).  You can see that I tucked it under the mats and added 3 rhinestones for some bling!

I love this card!  I can’t believe the variety I have in the cards that I’ve made this week, all starting with the same 3 basic pieces of paper!!!  You have got to try this!

Check my Facebook page for the 6th card in the series using Everything Eleanor, the tulip border embossing folder and the butterfly embosslits.  Love that one too!  Click here to go to my Facebook page to check out the cards that I’ve posted there.  Make sure to “Like” the page to get some free printable journaling boxes!
