Hello friends! I am excited to share the news that I have been invited to join the Three Room Studio Design Team!
I’m very excited about this team. I had virtual meetings with Sandy Boone, the owner and stamp designer. Sandy is really nice and a lot of fun! I also met the Allison Cope, the DT Coordinator who is also really nice and very supportive.
I had a hard time selecting which stamp sets I wanted to get started with because I absolutely loved the designs and I see a lot of potential for using the images in lots of different ways.
Today I am participating in my first Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge.
This week’s challenge is a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.
I selected one of the digital stamp backgrounds that Sandy has created called, “Window Desk”. The stamps that I selected are on their way to me, but alas…it’s a long way from the Canadian prairies to eastern Long Island, NY!
If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I love using digital stamps and I really loved this background image. Who wouldn’t want a desk with a view of the mountains and pine trees?
I used the first column on the grid: Coloring with any medium, adding stripes, and adding anything gold.
For my stripes, I used a piece of Maker Forte patterned paper. I was tempted to use a white gel pen and add some stripes to the wall, but I was reasonably certain that I would never get them straight! Using patterned paper was a safe choice. Since I created a slimline card, I had to use a piece of patterned paper that was at least 8″ long, so the Maker Forte paper was a good choice.
I added a gold sequin above the sentiment and I colored in the image with my Copic markers. I had a lot of fun coloring this one and I’m happy with my end result.
It’s a desk I would love to work at!
(Actually, I’d be browsing Pinterest at that desk. Who am I kidding?!)
