I didn’t purchase the Life In The Woods stamp set right away. I wasn’t actually sure that I wanted it, but then I caved. Those little graphic creatures are cute (and there is a hedgehog!). For this first card, you can see that I merely stamped the images and just left them as outline images. I liked it that way and it is quick and simple to do.
You can also see the new Essentials Wood Elements Embellishments. I’ve stamped on this one with the Garden Green ink directly on to the wood element. It takes the ink beautifully and it was easy to stamp on.
I essentially used the same elements on this card, but I used my blender pen to color in the hedgehog images. You can see that I stamped on one of the wood elements using my favorite sentiment from the Just Sayin’ stamp set. I used my Stampin’ Write Marker to write on the wood elements and that worked beautifully also.
When I saw these little wood elements in the catalog, I was wondering what in the heck will I do with those things?!!! It turns out that I love them! They are really fun. There are several shapes, but these two are my favorite. I will most certainly be using them in scrapbooks! I love that I can write on them. (I have a quirky sense of humor that no stamp set can quite capture…and often, those around me just don’t get!)
For this card, the fox was stamped, colored with my Stampin’ Write Marker and then cut out and popped up on dimensionals. How adorable are these little creatures? I haven’t even made a card with the mushroom, mouse or raccoon yet!
