I’ve been experimenting with my Bigz Dies and Framelits. I found two new shapes that I can get using this tip with my Top Note Bigz Die. I wanted to share them with you. You need to know this! I have 3 fun Top Note Project ideas for you today as well!
These are the two cards that I made out of one Top Note Die Cut!
Here is how I did it:
- Cut out your Top Note in the color you wish to use. Remember that you only need the cutting plates when you use a Bigz Die. You don’t need any part of the Mult-purpose platform!
- Now, without lifting or flipping the die cut over, turn it 90 degrees and center it on the Top Note Bigz Die. The video shows this really well!
- Now cut it again! You will get two parts you can use for 2 projects! You’ve just created a new die shape, making your Bigz Die work harder for you! You’ve also created a set of parenthesis that you can use as a fun element on a card or scrapbook page! The better you center it, the better the parenthesis will be the same size!

I loved this project! I used a green lunch bag, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla card stock, Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper (#126896), Silver Glimmer Paper (#124005), Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (#127802), and the Labels Collection Framelits (#125598). The shoes are made from the Top Note Bigz Die (#113463)
For this project, cut your top note die cut in half lengthwise. You will need your 1-3/8″ Circle Punch (#119850), the 3/4″ Circle Punch (#119873) and the 1/2″ Circle Punch (#119869). Cut the circles out as shown below:
The Labels Collection Framelits were used to create the elf outfit and the glimmer paper to create the buttons and pom-poms for the shoes. The Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper (this is my favorite pattern!) made for great stockings. I would totally wear those. (Under pants so nobody could see and only I would know how fun I really am!)
