Patricia Alvarez creates and colors a new digital image every single day. Every single one is amazing. I have no idea how to choose which one I want to color next! I also have now idea where Patricia comes up with her ideas for cute critters, kid and creatures. She is absolutely amazingly talented.
I selected this Fairy and Frog image because I wanted to work on coloring pleats, wings and hair. There are almost 1000 images to choose from and then there are digital papers and sentiment sets. You can essentially create your whole card by layering the image, the background paper and the sentiment in Photoshop or some similar program, print it out and then color it and attach it to your card front.
This digital stamping is amazing! Why did I not discover this sooner? It’s as simple as purchasing your image, instantly downloading it to a folder on your computer, printing it in your printer on card stock and then coloring it in and creating your card! No organization necessary!
Isn’t this little fairy darling? I just loved her. The hardest part is deciding what color to make the dress! Copic has so many colors to choose from so you are only limited by how big your Copic stash is.
Patricia has a number of adorable Fairy stamps in her shop. She has several images on sale and I guarantee that if you go to browse her shop, you will leave with several digital images that you can immediately start creating with.
My little craft budget goes a long way with digital images!
That black and white dotted paper and the sentiment are also from Patricia’s shop. The paper set is called Black Basics and has a variety of black and white backgrounds for all occasions. Black and white stripes and polka dots are my favorite go to background paper. I love that I have the digital papers in a folder on my computer and I can print them as many times as I want. The same with the sentiments. She has a whole Birthday Greetings image set, as well as a thank you set. You can get them in English and in Spanish too.
For some reason, my photo did not capture the sparkly star embellishments that I added to the card. You can barely see them!
Here is a better view of the embellishments and the fabulous die that I used to create my fairy layer:
The little star embellishments from Buttons Galore are perfect for this little fairy card! How fabulous is that rectangle die with the dotted edge? I’ve layered it on to a piece of black card stock and craft foam for dimension. I’ve layered that on Patricia’s Black Basics polka dots, another layer of black and then my white card base. I also layered that sentiment onto a scrap of black cardstock that I cut into a pennant shape.
The dies are from Birch Press and this is part of their Blueprint Craft Die Collection. It has a set of 4 in various sizes. I LOVE it with the polka dot background.
The sparkle on the Fairy wings is just white gel pen! It always amazes me how a little white gel pen can make water and wings look sparkly.
Just a reminder: Patricia has a Facebook group called Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Group. She has several FREE digital images available in the files section that you have access to when you join.
