I have two scrapbook layouts that I made with this month’s Challenge YOUrself Challenge. The theme is to use a sketch to create your layout. Here is my first one:
While packing up my Mother-in-Law’s house after she passed away last fall, I salvaged all the pictures I could find of my husband and my kids. It has been fun having some new photos to scrap and document our stories with.
I used the September Hip Kit Club kit to create my layout. I actually get the main scrapbook kit and the pocket kit each month and I’ve really been enjoying getting these kits!
This is a sketch from Pagemaps that is the theme of this month’s challenge. I loved the sketch so much, I created a second layout!
I used the same Hip Kit Club collection for this layout. I have 4 more photos from this day that I will use this kit for as well. The pages will coordinate together because I’m using the same collection of papers even though I am not deliberately making double page layouts.
Here you can see the small cluster I created with ephemera and stickers in the kit. I used my branding strips to make pennants for the layout. I always love using those strips on my pages. It’s fun to find new ways to use them.
