If you need a quick hostess gift, this is it! I made a Gingerbread Loaf with Lemon Icing from the Better Homes and Gardens website. I will put a link to the recipe at the bottom of this post. This project was inspired by their post about a coffee filter cradle for quick bread. I modified it by stamping the coffee filter and creating a gift tag. Here is my adaptation of this unique way to wrap a loaf of quick bread!
This is so clever and quick! You need a coffee filter, ribbon, stamps, paper and ink!
I used an old snowflake stamp from the retired Naught or Nice stamp set along with three colors of ink: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Night of Navy. You can see that I randomly stamped the snowflake, which shows up on both sides of the coffee filter after it is stamped! The bread is wrapped in a cello bag, placed in the stamped filter and wrapped and tied with the ribbon.
The tag was created with a scrap of DSP cut with the Two Tags Bigz Die. I stamped the same snowflake in Night of Navy Ink on Whisper White card stock. Then I stamped a to/from sentiment and punched it with the Modern Label Punch. All in all…with making the bread, the project took about 40 minutes. You can create the tag and the filter while the bread bakes.
Thanks for visiting! I hope you find this helpful! Here is the link to the recipe and the original project that I modified with my own touches!
