I really enjoyed stamping the day away on Sunday! I created several cards and scrapbook pages. What a relaxing way to spend the day!
I really love creating a card from a great sketch. I find it such a challenge to start with a layout and then selecting the papers, inks and stamps that you will make that sketch come to life with!
I love this stamp! This is another stamp from the March Best of Flowers stamp set (#133342). This hydrangea is such a pretty image. It’s perfect for water coloring and for using your aqua painters and blender pens. I chose to use a blender pen (#102845) and add my inks that way. I posted the video yesterday to show you this technique. I used the same colors today: Elegant Eggplant, Rich Razzleberry, Bashful Blue, Old Olive and So Saffron. Somehow, using a bunch of colors and blending them really makes you feel artistic! The results are so pretty as well!
The card is a whisper white base with a pretty in pink mat. The patterned paper is Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper (#125409) with a whisper white mat. I also used a sentiment from A Little Greeting stamp set (#129111) punched with my decorative label punch turned sideways (#120907) and stamped in Old Olive. I used Old Olive striped organdy ribbon (#129291) and some small pearls.
