Featured Retiring Products: Elements of Style Stamp Set, 1-3/8″ Square Punch, and Not Quite Navy Ribbon.
You can make a quick, yet elegant, one layer card using Stampin’ Up!s Elements of Style stamp set. No matter how busy I get, I like to squeeze in my creative time. I will always love giving and getting handmade cards. I’m very good about making cards for specials events or even random just because days; I’m somewhat less adept at actually sending the cards to the intended recipient! I do enjoy making detailed cards with beautiful techniques, but there are days where you want to make a bunch of cards fast with as few materials as possible!
I made two slightly different cards here today. (Yes, of course there is a video. I do love my video making!) I used my 1-3/8″ Square Punch (#119877 RETIRING) turned diagonally to create a diamond cutout. I stamped my sentiment in Midnight Muse ink in the cutout. The hummingbird was stamped in soft suede ink. I masked over the bird and stamped the flourish in cajun craze ink. When you remove the mask, it looks as if the bird is flying above the flourish! I added Night of Navy ribbon (#122978 RETIRING). The stamp set is Elements of Style (#120045 clear, #118611 wood RETIRING).
Here is the video tutorial!
You can make really great cards with just one layer of paper. There are so many fantastic techniques that you can use and if you own a Big Shot, your possibilities are endless!!!
