Need inspiration?  Start with designer paper!

This is often one of my favorite starting points.  The designer paper helps you select your color palette for your card, as well as the stamp set or shapes your images might take.

I used the Flashback designer paper as my inspiration today, as well as this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge!

Love this paper!  The circles inspired my circular element in the left corner, and the colors are all from the paper itself.  The card is simple and the paper is the star of the show!

 

The designer series papers all have the colors listed on the back of the package when you receive them.  They are also listed in the catalog right below the pictures and the descriptions of the papers.  This is one of my favorite features of the papers.

 

Somebody else decided what colors work together!  That was one decision that I didn’t have to make!

 

I will ‘fess up and tell you that I chose the Pool Party card base and mat because I REALLY LOVE the cotton ribbon and that is one of the colors in the paper that also has a coordinating ribbon.  (Real Red would have been another option, but I like to stamp my sentiments in the darker colors.)
