It’s been a crazy two weeks for me. I won’t go into the details, but suffice it to say that I’ve traveled to multiple states to take care of business and help both of my “kids”.
I’m exhausted.
There is nothing like treating yourself to an hour or two of being creative to help you relax and revive!
I have a card for this week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!
This was a fun card to create. I used alcohol inks in totally random colors on Yupo Paper. Once dry, I added the gold washi tape from Altenew and some velum with white gel pen stitched details.
The butterfly is from this month’s Simon Says Card Kit. I just love the butterflies and the fact that it was a sympathy set. My Aunt Elaine passed away a few days ago so this seemed like the perfect stamp set to use.
I watercolored the butterfly on Canson XL watercolor paper using the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers. The sentiment die cut is from Simon Says. I love the script.
It’s super colorful and I think my aunt would love it. She was a crafter and created all kinds of amazing things.
Here is the sketch that I started with:
Sorry this is a short and quick post, but I want to get it onto the Atlantic Hearts site before the linky is closed!
Happy day!
