Yay! It’s time for a new sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! I loved this weeks sketch!
I used a stamp set I bought to make scrapbook layouts of my husband and kids fishing. I have quite a lot of fishing photos!
As soon as I saw this stamp set and designer series paper, I had to get it! I grew up on a small lake in upstate NY and I have many fond memories of fishing from the dock.
Of course, my kids have many fond memories of fishing in the boat with their father…all captured on video and in photos thankfully!
I love making scene cards and I love coloring with alcohol markers and creating blended ink backgrounds like I did on this card.
The stamp set is from CTMH and is no longer available. The paper is from Stampin’ Up! and I believe it was in the last annual catalog or mini. That is also no longer available. That is one of the challenges with how craft stores come out with new products every month or so and then don’t keep them in their rotation for more than a few months.
I have no doubt that you have some pretty papers and coordinating stamps that you can pull out and use this sketch for. Perhaps you even have some scene making stamps that would work like mine did here! We would love to have you play along with this week’s sketch and join us for the challenge!
You can check out the new fishing and seaside papers and stamps in my online store at SHOPWITHKIM.NET!
