Hi friends! Today starts the April scrapbook challenge at Challenge YOUrself.  This month not only do you need to include YOU in the photo, but you also need to include fussy cutting on your layout.

I used all new goodies from Stampin’ Up! for this layout.  Tomorrow, I will have a video to share with my process for making this double page layout.

I love how this turned out!  I used the Country Lace DSP (Designer Series Paper pack).  I’ve used 3 pieces of the 12 pack of 12 double sided patterned papers that you get to create these two layouts.

I also used 2 pieces of the Linen 12 x 12″ cardstock that I have in my stash from CTMH and 2 pieces of Calypso Coral card stock that I’ve had in my stash since 2018!  You will also see the last bit of my Calyso Coral ribbon that I got as a freebie during Sale-a-Bration one year.  The enamel dots are also old SU enamel dots from back in the day.

The florals are all from Stampin’ Up!’s new Fully Flowering Ephemera pack.  I absolutely LOVED this product!

The Birds Eye View stamp set from Stampin’ Up! also allowed me to create some of my own die cuts and color them in with a few of my new Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers.  I then FUSSY CUT those birds out along with a branch and some leaves from the stamp set.

To finish this off, I used the Mini Alphabet Dies I bought from the spring mini catalog in April to create my title.  I stamped a sentiment from an old CTMH stamp set and die cut it out with the sentiment stamps I got from that same mini catalog.

The Something Fancy dies layered beautifully to give me journaling boxes for each page!!  I LOVE this die set.  It is never leaving my desk.

That belt buckle…it’s a can pop top that I salvaged from a can and have had in a jar forever.  I salvaged a bunch of them and washed them before adding them to a cute jar.  Now I have some fun buckles to add cute details to my ribbons with.

Here is the second page:

The second page is spaced differently and flipped (mirror flip) to coordinate but not be exact.

Here are some close ups of those floral ephemera pieces:

Aren’t the details in these ephemera bits fantastic?

I’m documenting my DIY and craft projects this year. I just learned to crochet in October and I’m showing off a shawl I made in April.  The second page will hold the pictures of the poncho I made myself in March.  I spent November through March making Christmas decorations, Christmas gifts and birthday gifts for my family.  Now I’m making a few things for me!

I’m loving this crochet hobby.  It compliments my papercrafting hobby nicely!
