Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge With Mixed Mediums!

By | 03/04/2019

I took a clean and simple card sketch and gave it a lot of color!

I used my Altenew Alcohol ink refills and created a rainbow on Yupo Paper with the Ocean Waves, Mango Smoothie and Ruby Red inks.  While that was drying, I pulled out the same colors of ink pads and created a blended rainbow on Bristol paper with the dye inks.

I die cut the blended piece with Catherine Pooler’s Deco Circles Coverplate die and adhered it to the top of the alcohol ink background.  I flipped the rainbow of the top piece relative to the bottom for more contrast.deco circles coverplate die with alcohol inks

I added a piece of vellum across the card front to work with the sketch and added Catherine Pooler’s Hello die cut on white glimmer paper across the front.

I added 3 silver sequins for a small amount of the metallic element and called it a day.

It was quick and easy, but I got to play with my toys!
