I’ve been creating a new card sketch every week to try to challenge myself to try different card layouts. It’s so easy to fall into a pattern of creating the same few cards over and over again.
I pulled out the Beautiful Butterfly stamp set and the Bloom Impressions FREE Sale-A-Bration DSP to play with for the new sketch for this week. I’m so excited about the cards I created!
I used my Deckle Circles dies to cut a big circle out of the DSP and I flipped it over to use the pretty green back. I added a stamped panel using the Beautiful Butterflies big butterfly and one of the sentiments. I stamped this is Fresh Freesia and then over stamped it with black for the sentiment.
I stamped and die cut some of the smaller butterflies using Melon Mambo and Boho Blue. I popped those up on dimensionals and sprinkled them around the card. I finished it off with some of the FREE Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins.
I liked the card, but it felt super busy! I decided to try another version of the card!
I made this one with less butterflies and decided the background was just too busy.
This was try 3! I flipped the papers, and this felt calmer and more restful. I still had lots of color and it still felt festive.
In the end, I think I have 3 pretty cards to send. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
