I created a card a couple of days ago that I like so much, I want to create a scrapbook page similar to it! This began as this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge. I had stamped an image earlier in the week that I really liked but hadn’t used in a card yet. I’ve really fallen in love with Bermuda Bay. What a WOW! color. I had these 3 things sitting in front of me and here is the card that I came up with:
This really follows the sketch that I started with pretty closely. I added an extra layer of lace and the 3 button sized objects in the sketch have been turned into sea creatures. (I learned the last time a sketch called for 3 buttons that the button cluster really jumps off the page at you!!)
Card Details:
Papers: Bermuda Bay, Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Sugar
Inks: Summer Starfruit, Calypso Coral, Baked Brown Sugar
Stamp Sets: By the Tide, By the Seashore and Sweetly Framed (hostess exclusive)
Accessories: Big Shot, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, Bermuda Bay Stretch Ruffled Ribbon, Crochet Trim and Pearls.
To create the sea life, I stamped my images in Baked Brown Sugar ink on Very Vanilla paper and then sponged them. I added pearls to give it some dimension and texture.
