Time for another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  This is a weekly challenge and there is a new sketch every week.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge June 2, 2025

I love it when a sketch or a challenge reminds me of a technique that I haven’t used in a while.  This week, that technique is torn paper.

I was wishing that I had invested in more of Stampin’ Up!’s two-tone card stocks.  It’s all on my wish list, but I haven’t had the craft budget for those extras just yet.  But it is on my list.

I do have quite a bit of leftover 12 x 12″ card stock from Close to my Heart, so I used a piece of that for my card today!

I really loved the Everyday Happiness Scrapbook Workshop Kit that Stampin’ Up! released a few months ago.  I only have a couple of sheets of this paper left, but I do have some scraps left as well.  This is a perfect time to pull out those scraps!

I used a scrap of the DSP and a scrap of the Lost Lagoon two-tone card stock that came in the kit.  I was so happy to use up some scraps so I didn’t have to cut up a whole sheet of card stock for this card.

I used Lost Lagoon for my card base and a piece of Very Vanilla cut at 4 x 5-1/4″ to serve as a mat behind the torn pieces.  I centered the scrap of DSP then I cut a piece of the Honey Butter card stock from CTMH and added it to the top of the DSP.  I tore the scrap I had of Lost Lagoon and added that to finish the paper pieces.

The scrapbook workshop kit I used had some wood veneer embellishments.  I selected two of those to add to my card.  A sentiment from the Right Words stamp set, stamped in Secret Sea on Very Vanilla.  This was a 1/2″ strip.  I popped the sentiment and embellishments up on dimensionals.  I added some Basic Pearls to finish my card.

You can see that I did flip the sketch 90 degrees for a slightly different look.

We would love to have you join our sketch challenge this week!  We are good about leaving comments on your blogs or the sites you link your cards from.  You can find the challenge HERE.
