Have you ever loved a sketch so much that you made two cards inspired by it?
Check out this week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge:
I used the ephemera sets from Stampin’ Up! to make my cards this week. I was playing with Say Something and Good Times ephemera sets.
I loved this little vase of flowers with it’s very modern feel. I paired it with the Turtle-y Sweet Embossing Folder on Lemon Lolly card stock. I also used a scrap strip of patterned paper which was slightly too short, but I like the end result. I’ve used a Secret Sea card stock mat behind the focal layer separated by a piece of white. It popped so much when I added that little peek of white around the Lemon Lolly.
I made a second card because I really wanted to use the seashell ephemera in the set. I had a piece of plaid patterned paper from the Storybook Suite that recently retired to work with the shell colors.
I added a little texture with one of the stamps from the Of Art & Texture stamp set that retired some time ago. I just can’t seem to stop using that set for a little background to make something pop off the card more.
We would love to have you join us for the challenge and give this sketch a try. The team is great about leaving comments each week!
Have a wonderful day! Thank you for stopping by!
