Color Challenge And A Watercolored Calla Lily

This week’s Make The Cards Challenge is a color challenge!  It is our 8th challenge and we would love to have you participate with us and share your creations!

Make the Cards Challenge 8: A Color Challenge

This is a great color challenge for spring!  I have this beautiful Calla Lily stamp set from Maker Forte called I Adore You designed by Alex Syberia.  I was just calling me to spend the afternoon watercoloring!

This was actually a quick image to watercolor.  I used my Karin Brushmarker Pros and did a combination of greens and yellows, with a touch of a nice neutral brown for the center.

I added the blue around the edge of the card and sentiment.  The sentiment is one of the All Seasons Sentiment paper pack sentiments that come in cut apart sheets.  I’m loving these sentiments.  It feels like one less step when you don’t have to create your own sentiment strip!  It’s usually the trickiest part to get straight and even.

I finished off the card with a few of the Maker Forte Crown Jewel Gems in the Vegas Strip color to add just a touch  more blue.

This stamp set image is actually about 5-1/2″ square and it has lots of uplifting sentiments in the set itself.  I just couldn’t resist making a ready made sentiment!
