I’m all about making quick cards these days.
Thankfully, these days are soon going to be those days when I had no time.
Retirement is only 3 more work days away!
How sweet it is!
For my Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Design Team card this week, I chose to keep my color palette to just white.
The sketch had such fun potential for all my pretty papers, but I felt like I would get too distracted by all the pretty papers. So I made a KISS card.
Keeping it simple sister!
I used lots of scraps for this card…a huge plus if you could see my creative space at the moment!
I used the Altenew Snowflake dies and a simple sentiment heat embossed in silver from the Colorado Craft Company Pine Branch and Pinecones set.
I also used a Darice embossing folder to create the striped dry embossed background strips. I haven’t used an embossing folder in ages. I don’t know why! I love the touch of texture they add to a project.
Here is this week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Sketch #347:
This is a great sketch for all kinds of occasions and it truly is perfect for using those left over scraps of patterned paper you have when you cut down a 6×6″ paper for a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ card. You can get lots of dimension out of this layout as well by added foam tape to each layer. I’ve noticed that adding a lot of dimension is one of the latest trends in card making.
