I’ve needed too many sympathy cards lately. I always make them as I need them and it seems like I’ve made quite a few in the past couple of weeks.
I pulled out the Grow with Love stamp and die bundle because I have not created anything with it yet! I also pulled out the Fruit Salad FREE Sale-A-Bration papers to use with the die.
Just for fun, I made one of the envelopes from the die set with each of the patterns in the paper stack!
I definitely loved making these! I cut out one small label from the remaining bits of each paper to add a contrasting label on the front of the envelopes so I can add a sentiment or an actual label with my label maker. I thought these turned out really cute! I used some of the twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack to add a tie to each.
I have a bunch of ideas to use these little envelopes for:
- gift cards
- cash
- focal image on the front of a card stuffed with die cut stems and florals
- on a scrapbook layout to hold tickets or journaling
- these would be great to hold the foam blenders that attach to the wood handles
- key holders
- organizers for keys, ephemera, coins, postage stamps, small die cut bits, paper clips…the list goes on!
Once I got those done, I played with the stamp set to make a couple sympathy cards.
I used Wild Wheat, Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam, and Crumb Cake ink. I stamped all the florals off and stamped my card in second generation ink. My sentiment is in Crumb Cake.
I added some twine and a few Antique Pearls. The pearls are very pretty. I will be ordering more of those!
My second card is similar to my first one. I simply moved the sentiment to the other side.
These are single layer, clean and simple cards.
I used the Petal Pink and one of the stems to decorate inside my cards and on the envelope fronts.
