Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas!

By | 12/06/2013

Have yourself a merry little Christmas!  Remember when Stampin’ Up! sent us the new Annual Catalogs in June and we couldn’t find any Christmas stamps in there?  I wondered what they had in store for us with the Holiday Catalog.  I found myself pleasantly surprised not only by the Holiday Catalog, but the online only stamps and the single stamps that Stampin’ Up! had in store for us!

This Merry Little Christmas stamp set is one of those lovely surprises!  I chose to simply stamp this in Cherry Cobbler, but picture coloring this in with your markers and creating a multicolor image.  This fun little stamp focuses on one of the stamping world’s latest trends…mixing the fonts!  I love this trend.  Wouldn’t this be a perfect stamp for the chalkboard technique using Always Artichoke card stock instead of Basic Black?  (My first classroom had a green chalkboard, so I have fond memories of green chalkboards and it would be perfect for Christmas!)

I used this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch to create this card.  I love the sketch!  You can see that I also used the Season of Style Designer Paper and the Frosted Finishes Embellishments.  I love those little embellishments.  (I’ve actually used 2 packages of them already!)  The Season of Style DSP determined the color scheme:  cherry cobbler, crumb cake and gumball green.  I added some Early Espresso to the mix as well.  You can also see that I used some baker’s twine and rhinestones as well.   Gotta have the blink and the bow!
