That’s right! I was cleaning my craft room and sorting through retiring stamp sets when I cam across the Blended Blooms set. It’s retiring at the end of this month and will no longer be available for purchase through Stampin’ Up! I purchased it two years ago to practice using the alcohol markers that Stampin’ Up! had come out with at the time. I decided that I wanted to play with it one more time before I placed it on the retired shelf!
This week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge is a simple challenge: Flowers! I love big, bold, graphic blooms so this was too tempting to pass on!
My color inspiration came from this season’s garden catalogs. Everywhere I look, I’m seeing the pear green combined with the navy and white. I found it so irresistible that I actually decorated my porch with that very same color combination. Joanne Fabrics had a perfect plain pear fabric that I used on the seat cushions and I found a wonderful navy with a bold graphic white flower pattern.
I found outdoor rugs to coordinate from the Home Decorators at homedecorators.com. I’m hoping the rugs arrive this week! They had a nice sale with free shipping a couple of weeks ago and a big percentage off. It seemed like they were calling my name!
The card sketch that I started with from the Paper Craft Crew this week is here:
