Kind and Cozy With Stampin’ Up!

When I was browsing the new catalog, one of the first sets that I fell in love with was the Kind and Cozy set. It just feels so homey and the project ideas just started popping into my head as soon as I saw it! I think the range of cards, tags, jar toppers, gift decorations and so forth, will be only limited by my imagination. It just feels so right with bright colors as well.

This stamp set coordinates with the Gingham Garden Designer Series paper which I have used on the bottom of the card. You can see that I’ve used two sets of framelits: The Deco Labels Collection and the Circles Collection.

My first thought about the Circles Collection and the Squares Collection was that I wouldn’t need them because I have all my punches which are quick and simple to use. However, the moment I opened these framelit sets and realized the number of framelit sizes you get in each, I realized that the punches were more limiting. Plus…punches take up more room than framelits. The key to framelits is to keep them organized and to keep your Big Shot on a permanent surface within reach of your crafting table so it’s convenient to use.

Convenience is everything in crafting. If you have to get up and walk across the room and pull it off a shelf from a cabinet where you store it, how often will you use it? I can answer that question for myself…not as much as if all I have to do is swivel my chair and there it is!!! My organization scheme does not involve putting things away on a shelf behind a cabinet door. Things sit where I use them and because they sit out, I use them!!!
