I have a fun way to use your dies to create your own DIY stamps. This will help you use your dies in more ways and stretch your stash! I love getting more for my crafty dollars!!
I was playing with my Assorted Leaves dies from Scrappy Tails Crafts, along with the Flying Butterflies dies and the Fairy Friends Stamp set.
I created two stamps by die cutting one of the vines from the die set out of craft foam. I attached the craft foam to a piece of sturdy cardboard, flipping one so I was using the back of the foam as the stamp.
I masked off the edges of my card front with some low tack tape and then stamped my DIY stamps in clear embossing ink and stamped them several times on to my card front. I heat set them and then ink blended Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, and Mermaid Lagoon distress oxide inks over the top.
I buffed the ink off the embossed leaves and removed my tape revealing a nice white border.
I ink blended a second panel in Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, and Mermaid Lagoon. I used this to die cut the two pieces of my butterfly. I covered the top of the butterfly in embossing ink and then clear embossing powder mixed with white glitter. I heat set this getting a fabulous shine and sparkle.
How pretty is this?
I attached the butterfly layers together and added it to the card front. I heat embossed the sentiment in black and added some sequins to complete my card!
