It’s no secret that I love techniques!  I love including a special touch when I’m making a card that includes more than just stamps and pretty papers.

To make my card for today, I pulled out the Inlaid Diecutting Technique!   This is my favorite diecutting technique.

Stamping Imperfection Technique #50: Inlaid Diecutting

This also makes Technique #50 for my technique album.  I’ve actually had to start a second photo sleeve album to hold all my technique cards!  You can get the printable card below!

I used the Full of Life Bundle for my card and my technique today. I love this bright, colorful paper.  The giant heart die is perfect for this technique.  Any die that has openings that you can fill with the die cut pieces in a different color or pattern will work perfectly for this.

Basically, I die cut my die twice.  Here I cut once on Melon Mambo and once on a piece of DSP from the Full of Life paper set.

Then you glue the small pieces from one paper, in this case it is the DSP pieces, into the large die from the other paper.

I always love then end result of this technique.

Another benefit is that it is a 2-for-1 technique.  I then added the Melon Mambo small pieces into the large DSP die piece.  That heart got glued to a 4 x 6″ piece of white cardstock.  I added my 3 x 4″ printed technique card as well and now it is in my second technique album!

Check out the details in my video below:
