I have a new sketch to share with you for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for this week.
How pretty is this? We all have a shelf full of floral stamps and dies that would work for this sketch!
Here is my card:
Yep! Still playing with those whimsical birds from the Bird’s Eye View stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I can’t stop!
I was so happy that I had just purchased the Wildflower Designs Bundle. The die set came with 3 hexagonal frame shapes. I used the scalloped one and I kept the piece that was die cut from the center. I added dimension to the frame and then attached the center part directly to the card. I love the added dimension that gives to my background!
I also used more of the Dandy Designs DSP that I got on the Clearance Rack at SHOPWITHKIM.NET in May!
I added some of the Flowering Floral Ephemera bits and topped them with a bird, the books and some leafy bits from the stamp set. I colored them in with Stampin’ Blends as well.
The sentiment came from the Wild Ferns stamp set stamped in Balmy Blue. I think it will make a great retirement card for a friend. I thought I’d tuck a gift card inside to a bookstore in town.
I did add an embossed background! I used the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I love how it gives texture and dimension to the card, but it is subtle and doesn’t overwhelm the focal image cluster on the card.
I added some leftover metallic embellishments to finish off the card and I love it!
