Phew! That title has a lot packed into it!
There is a new challenge at Kendra’s Card Challenge. I love this challenge! It’s all about using your 6 x 6″ patterned paper to make a beautiful set of 16 cards. Plus you can win a fabulous prize by doing so if you participate in the challenge!
This is the perfect time to use some of your cardstock scraps, patterned paper that has been on your shelf for a bit, and stamps that you haven’t used in some time…or ever!
To start with, you need to download and print the card sketches and paper cutting diagrams for challenge 3 that Kendra has created.

I did all my paper cutting and sorting, then I got 8 of the cards made.
These cards use card sketches #13 and 14. I’ve used some fabulous sentiments from STAMPlorations here. I love their Big Sentiment series. I used these all the time for projects. I also love them for art journals and traveler’s notebooks.
The paper is some designer paper from Whimsy Stamps that I believe I got for free with an order over a year ago!! Time to use it up!
I love the graphic, whimsical feel to the paper. These patterns needed nothing more than a fabulous sentiment!
Here are cards using sketches 8 and 11. I’ve used a sentiment from Joy Clair along with STAMPlorations and a floral image from an old DIYllusions stamp set. I’ve added a touch of color with a technique I learned from Daniel West. So simple!!
These cards use card sketch 10 and 12. The hugs sentiment is from Avery Elle.

To enter the Quarterly Card Challenge, download the free PDF file that contains cutting templates for 6 sheets of paper and 16 different card sketches. Create your own cards using the templates and your choice of patterned paper. They can be any color and any theme using any sentiments you’d like but you must use the card sketches for your cards
This challenge is open to cardmakers worldwide!
Upload pictures of your card creations on social media and use the hashtag #KendrasCardChallenge3 (on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube) so Kendra can find your entries. For some reason, Pinterest will not allow her to see entries with the hashtag unless they are sent to her as a message, so if Pinterest is the only social media account you have, make sure you do that. One set of 16 cards counts as 1 entry. You can enter up to 3 times per challenge. After the challenge ends (September 30, 2021), Kendra will gather all of the entries and randomly select the three winners using the random name picker from commentpicker.com. Kendra will announce the winners on her YouTube Channel within 2 weeks of the contest end, so make sure you’re a subscriber! The winners and their contest entries will also be posted to the Kendra’s Card Challenge page.
