The new Scrapping4Fun Challenge is an animal challenge and it is an anything goes challenge, so you can make a card or any kind of project as long as the main image features an animal.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Ike’s Art!
The digi that I’m using is called Bird Books from Ike’s Art.
I really loved this image and of course I made a bookmark using this!
How cute is this little bird sitting on that pile of books?
I created the background with my Gelli Plate and some dye ink pads. I used a stencil or two and added lots of splatter. I fussy cut out my image after coloring it with my Copics and added a sentiment that says “Be the heroine of your life”. The sentiment is from a STAMPlorations set and the stencil is from Maker Forte.
I made the tassel using some black twine from Catherine Pooler’s twine collection.
I added a piece of navy cardstock to the back because I an not a tidy mixed media artist!
I am wishing that I had heat embossed the sentiment so that it stands out more, but that’s really more for the photo because it looks just right in person!
You can see the colors and the details that I have here. I also added a mixed media stamp image from CaraBelle studio that I quite like. It’s subtle because I used a gray ink to stamp it, but you can see a hint of it and I love how it looks!
I’m super happy with that background!
Thank you for dropping by!! We would love to have you join the challenge!
