10 card ideas using 7 techniques to create cards using the Scrappy Tails January Release Outline Rose Assortment Die Set!
I have a video to share and a lot of photos of the cards I had so much fun making with this brand new die set!
I have 10 cards to share with you today! I used the fantastic Outline Rose Assortment Die Set. I love how much you can do with it…this is just the beginning!
A clean and simple, tone on tone card. I love the elegance of the white die cut on the white card. I used the outline die on top of the base die and added the stem with the leaves. The sentiment is a die from the Slimline Pop Up Box Card die set and it uses a bright navy card stock.
Card 2:
I used the same tone on tone idea, but I covered the card front with just the outline dies. I love this look as well.
Card 3:
This is the same card as card 2, but with a pretty pink card stock for the roses and a dark gray for the script word die sentiment. Isn’t it lovely?
Card 4:
I needed some sympathy cards, so I was using blacks, grays and whites. I was playing with layering different color combinations and I didn’t want to waste any that I had created. I added one of the roses to one of the panel dies from the Basket Pop Up Card die set and did lots of layering with my card stock to create this more formal card.
Card 5 and 6: A Two-For Technique:
I used inlaid die cutting techniques here with patterned paper and a nice bright blue paper. I love this technique and I especially love to use it for patterned papers I’m not super crazy about. They always look fantastic with this technique!
Cards 7 and 8:
I just wanted to use up my left over pieces here, so I created a couple of watercolor backgrounds using the ink smooshing technique on watercolor paper. I added my left over die cuts and did some splatters in black and white. I added my sentiment and these were done! The stamped sentiment on the rainbow card uses a sentiment from the Rose Petals stamp set in this release.
Card 9:
This was an experiment. I glued one of the outline dies to watercolor paper and watercolored the rose. I also watercolored a left over stem. I added a light green watercolor wash around the flower then added my black and white splatters and sentiment. I’m in love with this one! So simple!
Card 10:
I love this one!!! I heat embossed the stem, sentiment and rose outline dies in antique gold embossing powder twice. I adhered them to a piece of black card stock and then spritzed with antique gold ink spray. I added it to a piece of gray card stock and a white card base!
10 cards and 7 techniques!
