Sketch Saturday Challenge On Tuesday!

By | 10/04/2016

Yes!  Another challenge.  I couldn’t resist the sketch challenge on the Sketch Saturday site.  I really looked like a challenge that might take me out of my comfort zone.  Plus, I got to use my Paisleys and Posies just one more time!  (I know, I know…I’m addicted!)

Stamping Imperfection Sketch Saturday 432

I created a really busy card from this sketch by using the coordinating designer paper with the stamped background and die cuts all from the Paisley and Posies suite of products.  If you read my last post, you know it’s that ribbon that keeps drawing me back to these colors as well.

The sentiment is from the Basket of Wishes stamp set which has really fabulous sentiments.  That is a must have stamp set if you enjoy watercoloring images.

Here is the sketch that I started with:

 Sketch Saturday 432

This sketch gave me a reason to use some of the floral and leaf die cut pieces in the framelit set.  Once I layered them I wondered why I had not been using them all along.

I have no doubt that the sketch creator intended for the diagonal strip to be paper or wider ribbon, but I loved that I could use that Delightful Dijon ribbon in an interesting way.  Like I said, the sketch challenged me to use my supplies in a new way!!

I also used my oval layering framelits to create the sentiment.  Stamping Imperfection 2016 Color Combo 14

I really like this card and it looks fairly easy to follow and make, thanks for the sketch and supplies used.
