It turns out that FREE is my favorite price to pay for something. I love Sale-A-Bration. It is Stampin’ Up!’s biggest sale of the year.
For every $50 of product that you purchase, you get to select one item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
I’ve used two of the freebies and made a set of cards from the Sweetest new stamp set in the Occasions Catalog.
My all time favorite free things to select are the ribbons. Every year Stampin’ Up! will have a set of ribbons that you can select as your free item. I love selecting the ribbon. Ribbon is so expensive, yet it adds a warm touch to every project.
For spending $50 in product (before shipping and tax), you could choose this Shimmer Ribbon Pack. You get 3 rolls of 5 yards each of the Basic Gray 1/4″ ribbon, Calypso Coral 3/8″ ribbon, and the Bermuda Bay 1/8″ ribbon.
You will see that I used it on the cards in the new trendy tri-fold loops below my stamped images.
The other freebie is the Tutti-Frutti Cards and Envelopes. You get 16 cards and coordinating envelopes. 4 each of Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Lemon Lime, and Daffodil Delight. I only used half of the card set for this project!!
I created 8 cards in all.
I used the sweetest stamp set: A Good DAY, Memento Black Ink, and my Stampin’ Blends. I also used glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also used the new 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and White card stock. That was it.
I tried to keep my cards as simple and sweet as possible.
If you were to purchase the punch, the stamp set and the entire set of Stampin’ Blends, you would get $15 worth of free product from the catalogs and you would get to select 3 free items out of the $50 part of the Sale-A-Bration brochure. There are a couple of $100 items and you could pick one of those plus one of the $50 free items. There are so many to choose from!
I selected this stamp set because I love all the sweet little images that I can easily color in with any markers (they don’t need to be Stampin’ Blends). I love these kinds of sets for small 3×3″ cards to use as gift tags or as quick thank you notes. You can tuck them in a gift bag so easily. Plus there are so many images to choose from I can use this for a variety of occasions and age ranges.
For my cards today, I used all but two of the stamps in the set.
I did 4 cards vertically:
So simple and so cute!
I stamped 2 of each image on one piece of white card stock using the Memento ink, then I colored them in, punched them and attached them to the ribbon and the cards.
Done!
Nothing like a pre-made card base with a subtle background pattern to make an easy project out of it! (And FREE cards, envelopes and ribbon!!)
I also created 4 horizontal cards:
You can see the inside flaps of the envelopes here. They are patterned on the front and the inside of the flap. The outside of the flap coordinates with the pattern on the cards.
I don’t think it can be simpler than this!
Plus, I now have a set of 8 cards that I have in my stash to dash off to friends and family when I need them.
