Stamping and Scrapbooking Sunday Series: Masculine Layout By the Sea

By | 06/02/2013

I was so busy making Virtual Stamp Club Class videos that I did not make a video for my scrapbook pages today!  I know!  Shocking!  I did clean like a mad woman all weekend to make room for my daughter’s college stuff.  Both kids are home from college and I promise you, I will not catch up with laundry again until September!

I really love The Open Sea stamp set.  I’ve been eyeing that in the catalog for quite awhile.  I was happy to see that it was a carry over into the new catalog!  It’s a great set.  While it has no sentiments, the images are timeless.  The scrapbooker in me sees this as a great set for travelers, cruise ship vacationers and of course…masculine layouts!

The Baked Brown Sugar is cut to 8×8″ and I think it makes a fantastic base for a masculine scrapbook page.  It’s just a richer color than my old Crumb Cake standby!  It really has a warm feeling to it!   I like the little detail added by the washi tape as well.  I must say that I’ve been having fun playing with that Epic Day Designer Series Paper.  It’s great for so many projects.  My Virtual Club members will be seeing this on at least 2 of the 5 projects for this month!

Coming Soon!!!!

Over the last several weeks, I have shared many scrapbook layouts with you in my Stamping and Scrapbooking Sunday series!  I was a bit shocked when I realized that Stampin’ Up! has discontinued it’s Simply Scrappin’ Kits and it’s scrapbooks.

This is a dilemma!!!

I have many customers who love making scrapbook projects…plus, I still have boxes of photos from my kids to get into albums!

I have a solution!

As I was browsing the new catalog, I realized that there are numerous (as in all!) stamp sets that would be perfect for scrapbooking.  Stampin’ Up! is still carrying their 12×12″ card stock papers and the fabulous designer series papers as well.  We’ve got our embellishments and our AMAZING new colors…we can make fabulous scrapbook pages with all of these things!!!

I will be starting my Simply Scrapbooking Virtual Classes this month!!!!

I will be rolling out the details soon!  If you are looking for a way to take the stress out of planning your scrapbook layouts, these classes are for you!!!!  I will do all the work and you can create your scrapbook pages without searching for ideas!  They will be delivered right to you!!

STAY TUNED!

Thank you for stopping by!  I’ve been having a great time playing with some of the new stamp sets that Stampin’ Up! just released!  I will share some of those with you this week!

Happy day!
