The new Scrappy Tails Crafts Midsummer Night’s Dream release is a huge one and it is amazing!
The variety of stamps, dies, and a set of 3 stencils is unbelievable! I felt like I ordered more than I should have and I still have more on my wish list.
You know how that goes!
For this card, I used one of the 3 Starry Night stencils as a spotlight stencil to create a night sky view without covering the entire card. I wanted to keep the card light and bright.
The clouds and the moons come from the A2 Cloud Frame cover die set. This set is loaded with extra dies that include clouds, a variety of star shapes, and that crescent moon.
The fairy and the sentiment come from the Fairy Friends stamp set.
I used Distress Oxides in Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans ink blended through the circular moon stencil to create my spotlight background. I added the die cute clouds, the moon, and a star. The fairy is popped up on some foam so it looks like she’s adding the start to the sky.
The there are 4 moon dies included with this cover die set. Two are outline dies which you see in the blue on the white cloud base created from the full cloud dies. The blue cloud is actually the inside piece from the outline die. I thought it looked to fun to throw away, so I added it to my card!
I just love this sentiment! When I have a sentiment this large with different fonts and it is 3 lines long, I like to actually stamp those directly on the card front. I sometimes will cut the lines apart and use them as sentiment strips if it is the same font throughout the sentiment. For this one, I just love how it looks stamping directly on the design. I don’t think there is a good way to cut it out, unless you stamp it on a tag or use a punch shape to cut it out. That would need to be a planned part of your design.
