The Gift of Joy: Quick and Easy Christmas Card Idea

By | 10/30/2025

If you are looking for some easy and whimsical Christmas card ideas, check out the Gift of Joy stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  Add some of the Specialty Christmas Cards and Envelopes and keep it simple!

I made 6 quick cards using 2-1/2″ white card stock squares, 2-3/4″ Real Red card stock squares, and the Christmas Greetings cards and envelopes.  A few of my favorite Christmas ink pad colors, some glue and a journaling pen, helped get the job done.

I only made 6 cards today, but you get 10 cards and 10 envelopes in the package.  There are 5 each of a Garden Green plaid and Crumb Cake plaid in the set.

I started by stamping little scenes with the Christmas icon stamps included in the Gift of Joy stamp set.  This is a two-step stamp set, so you get outline stamps and then stamps to add some color. Try not to stress about lining them up…they aren’t supposed to be perfect!

The stamp set has a fun, whimsical feel to it and I love it!

To add to the whimsy, I added some journaling pen lines around the white squares for fun.  This helped frame my “scenes” and it helped to make them feel complete.

After stamping the “scenes”, I added the sentiment.  I used Secret Sea for the sentiments and Real Red and Garden Green for the scenes.

Once I had the stamping done, I added the white stamped squares to the Real Red squares and attached them to the card base.

I love a quick set of cards.  When you only have 30-60 minutes to craft, this is a great way to get creative and get some of your Christmas To Do List done!
