This Week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Time for a new challenge over on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

This is a great sketch to use up some of those designer series paper scraps and even some of your cardstock scraps.

I spent some time last week cleaning up my paper scraps and using as many scraps as possible in some DIY crafting tool projects that I’ve been working on.

In the process, I found a whole package of 6 x 6″ glimmer paper from Stampin’ Up! that is at least 6 or 7 years old!  I also found some scraps of heavy velum that I couldn’t resist using.  This sketch was perfect!

I pulled out one of the pretty white glimmer paper pieces and attached it to a Very Vanilla card base.  I almost went with a snow theme, but I already had the leaf and stem cut and ready.  I pulled out that pretty Iconic Celebrations 6 x 6″ designer series paper that is one of Stampin’ Up!’s online exclusives.  Cajun Craze is one of my favorite colors in the SU ink line.  It’s so pretty with those tiny leaves!

I used a piece of Cajun Craze to add a mat around the leafy paper.  I also pulled out my two favorite fall ribbons: Pecan Pie center stripe ribbon and Natural polka dot trim.  My sentiment is from the Changing Leaves stamp set and it is stamped in Cajun Craze on a strip of specialty paper from long ago.  I added a few Earth Tone Shimmer Gems to finish off the card.

It feels like a fun mix of materials to me, and it made me happy to create it!Stamping Imperfection

We would love to have you join us for the challenge this week.  You can post a photo of your card on your Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest page and link it to the blog using the link at the top of this post.  It’s easy to do!!
