Thankful Life

By | 05/10/2017

I hope this post finds you doing well!  Thank you for hanging in there with me as I get settled in my new locale!

I thought I might get a chance to make a video today, but alas…I couldn’t find one of the pieces of my tripod to make it all work!  After 2 months, I still have boxes everywhere.  Mostly in my craft room!

Instead, I had a chance to make a card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge!  Another great sketch by Pam Staples left me feeling creative even in a small window of time.

Stamping Imperfection Paper Craft Crew

I’m actually sending this to my mother for Mother’s Day.  The inside sentiment reads, “It’s not what we have in life…but who we have in life that matters.”

I think that is a fabulous sentiment for Mom.

As you can see from this card, I did not line up the 3 stamps all that well.  The two greens turned out fine, but the pink just got stamped in a rush without lining it up.  It’s fine.

Do you love the colors???  The purple and the two greens are two of the new In Colors for 2017-2019!!!  Wowzers!  I wasn’t sure about that lime color, but it is great with the others.  The pink is the flirty flamingo from last year.  The tassel is also a new product.

Here is the Paper Craft Crew sketch for the week:

You can see that I flipped the banners to the bottom.  I used baker’s twine in place of the top banner and the tassel in place of the circle element.  I also completely forgot the little embellishments!

I really like the sketch.  To be honest, if I could have located my heat tool the sentiment would have been heat embossed so that it popped more.  But we make due when we need to.  Crafter’s are resilient people!  When you are a creative type like we are, you go with the flow.  My flow right now is whatever has been unpacked and is on my craft table!

One day I hope to have a beautiful and tidy craft room to share with you…today is not that day.

At least I have a card to share!

Happy & colorful bouquet! It’s good to take a creative break for yourself … especially when more & more boxes are looming & eager to sap energy!
