I will put all the links to the hop participants below!
I don’t have any coffee themed products from Kat Scrappiness, so I will definitely be taking advantage of this savings event to get some! I think gift cards to coffee shops make perfects gifts during the holiday season and a pretty coffee themed card would go with that perfectly!
I used a couple of the Kat Scrappiness dies from my stash that I have used many times before and I used a couple of new goodies to create this card as well!
I love the Dress Up Quokkas stamp set. There are two Christmas themed add on sets that coordinate with this. I’ve used the Christmas Costume add on to create this little Christmas scene.
The other new set is the Ugly Sweater stamp and die set! It’s a very cute little set you can use to build your own ugly sweaters for the sweet little quokkas.
I didn’t have a coffee cup stamp so I sketched and colored a cut for each of the critters on this card. I used the Got Cookies? sentiment from the Naughty Christmas Stamp and Die set.
I used the Stitched Winter Swirl Backdrop cover die to create the winter background. I love the fabulous stitched details on this cover die. I use it for holiday cards and winter cards all through the end of February.
To set my scene apart from that gorgeous background, I used the Stitched Fancy Scallop Rectangle dies. I chose a medium sized one from the set to create my scene. I didn’t want to cover up too much of the cover die pattern.
I added some ink blending in Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, and Victorian Velvet distress oxides to add some color to the smaller background. I stamped, colored, and die cut my quokkas, outfits, and scene fillers using my Copics and the coordinating dies.
To complete my scene, I added some Winter Mix Sprinkles to give the scene a snowfall effect. I added some white gel pen details to add to the snowy effect and used some brown and gray Copics to stipple below my critters and ground the images.
You can see how I created the card on this video:
