Another great sketch this week on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog!
My arch dies are actually in storage in Florida! I ended up creating a mask by tracing a rectangle die and a circle to arch the top. Then I cut it out using a craft knife. I used this as a mask to then ink blend into the open arch to create a background for my florals.
Check out my card:
I used the Barely Blush ink to add my background color. Then I used Calypso Coral and Midnight Muse to stamp my floral backgrounds. Peaceful Pine was used for the leafy bits. I used Secret Sea to stamp all the outline images.
I added some light splatter with my old black Stampin’ Write Marker. I use the brush tip and just flick it off the inside of the cap to create the light mist splatter.
The ribbon is the Misty Moonlight Checkered Trim. The sentiment is from the Say Something Mix and Match Ephemera sticker set. The dots are Secret Sea enamel dots from the Moody Palette Glossy Dots. I love that set of enamel dots so much, I’m on my third package!!
I added my completed panel to a Misty Moonlight card base to complete the card.
I wasn’t sure about this card as it was coming together. In the end…I LOVE it!! I think the ribbon just was the perfect final touch for me!
