Here is the new sketch challenge from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for the week of August 24!
This is a great sketch for using those little rectangles of Designer Series Paper that we all have collected in our craft rooms. It’s just too hard to throw those little rectangle pieces away.
Here is your call to use them!!!
I have several packages of DSP with these little rectangle scraps, and I needed a sympathy card. I pulled out this black and white paper called Artisan Sketched Garden for the task. I had the perfect sized piece of this black and white polka dot that I simply cut in half. The floral is the back side of this double-sided paper.
I glued them to a white card base cut at 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″. I scored and folded it at 4-1/4″ to get my card base.
The floral image is from the Garden Gathering Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set. This is a retired set, but I still use the sentiments all the time.
The Garden Gathering stamps and dies are on the Last Chance Clearance list at a nice sale price. The Sketched Garden DSP is actually on SALE right now, as of the time I am writing this blog post.
I added some white twine and clear enamel dots for some bling to finish my card.
You can check out what the rest of the design team and the other participants did with this sketch and play along with us at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
