I do love a good floral focal point! I also love card stock layers separating my focal point from the card base!
The card I created for this challenge uses the Product of the Month for May that I got for $5 with a $75 product purchase at Stampin’ Up! There is a new Product of the Month each month for only $5 (US) with a $75 product purchase.
I have no trouble spending at least $75! One stamp and die set plus a scrapbook workshop kit gets me slightly over that each month. One scrapbook workshop kit lasts me for my scrapbooking needs for the month, and I always love to get a new stamp and die set to play with for the month as well. Those are the products I focus on creating with for the month after I receive them. This way, everything I purchase gets used multiple times and I’m not overspending my little crafty budget.

That floral panel is part of the floral vellum 12 x 12″ paper that I pulled from the Berry Botanical Vellum 12 x 12″ paper pack. It had 3 sheets each of 4 different patterns of vellum. Two were florals, a fun whimsical plaid background in a Highland Heather ish purple and white, plus a white polka dot on Peaceful Pine for the other two patterns.
I simply cut out a corner of one of the florals and used it as a pretty focal point. It looks like I colored it!
I layered the vellum on Barely Blush. This was layered onto white, then on a Peaceful Pine card base.
I added some white twine for texture and a Peaceful Pine die cut stem from the Boutique Blossoms dies. I topped it with a sentiment from the Say Something Mix and Match Ephemera sentiment set. I also added a few Balmy Blue enamel dots from my stash.
That vellum made this a WOW card for me! I especially love it paired with that deep green card base. It really pops that floral.
