Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Mixer Class: Was it Worth it?

By | 05/24/2026

Stampin’ Up! Paper Mixer Class went live on Thursday last week.

It was so worth the $30 class fee.

It was also worth spending the money to get the 3 sets of patterned paper, the stamp set, the floral die cuts, and the label set.  I made all the projects along with the video and I LOVE them all.

Today, I want to share the 4th project we made.

Stampin' Up! Paper Mixer Class Project 4

The class was packed with techniques for using pretty patterned paper and mixing and matching paper from different paper sets.

This project was to create a 6 x 8″ scrapbook page.  They also showed how to modify this to create an 8 x 10″ piece of wall decor to frame and hang in your space.  I made it as a scrapbook page.

The techniques we used here:

  • distressing card stock
  • using 1/4″ DSP strips in a paper wrapping technique to create a unique background piece
  • layering patterns with black and white die cuts and papers
  • enamel dot placement
  • masking a stamp to modify the sentiment for a scrapbook layout
  • gluing small or intricate dies
  • lots of tips and tricks along the way beside the techniques

Aren’t the bright colorful papers perfect with the black die cut pieces?  I love this layout!

I had never done this paper strip wrapping technique.  It was easy and a perfect way to use those left over strips I always toss out.  Who knew?!

I’ve got a super cute picture of my granddaughter for this page!!

The class is still available for purchase.  I can also highly recommend the Lovely Blossoms class as well!
