3 Elements I Love To Add To My Cards!

By | 02/10/2014

There are 3 elements that I love to add to my cards: ribbon, rhinestones and designer series paper!  The designer paper always seems to inspire the card colors, every card needs some bling and who doesn’t love the soft touch that ribbons, bows or ruffles add?

Stamping Imperfection 3 Elements on a card

Stampin’ Up! has designed their papers, inks and embellishments to color coordinate.  This is one of the aspects that I love about Stampin’ Up! products.  They’ve taken the guess work out of selecting my materials and supplies.   I don’t need a degree in art or design to actually create a card that I’m excited to give to someone.

I also love that I can sit and browse through the online store on my sofa while watching my latest favorite TV show of the day, and select products that I know will all work together.  I don’t have to go to the front of the store to find ribbon that maybe matches, kind of, the piece of patterned paper I found in the back  of the store.

The Birthday Basics Designer Paper is pretty fabulous because it’s full of color!  I felt like I just couldn’t go wrong when I used it to create my card today.  It all started with a scrap of this designer paper and the card just came together from there.

I went with pinks, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.  I could have used blues, reds, green, oranges or yellows!    I really meant it when I said that I couldn’t go wrong with my color choices!
