If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that I love craft kits of all kinds. I couldn’t resist this month’s Simon Says Really Love You kit.
I finally had time to sit down tonight and play with it! The stamp set is a really fun set. It has 2 border stamps, lots of fun fonts, a variety of words to add to the sentiments or create your own and hearts of several shapes and sizes.
The kit also came with some patterned paper, card stock, some shimmery envelopes, an ink cube, glitter and some puffy stickers.
I was trying for clean and simple, but found the stamps irresistible to play with. I kept adding more hearts!
The first card that I created uses the 2 small border stamps. I love those. What a great touch on a card. I can picture creating a frame with them as well. I was going for a bouquet affect or a bunch of balloons tied together. I’ve layered the stitched outline heart on top of the larger heart stamp and I heat embossed the stitched heart on each one. Aren’t the sentiments fun? I love a variety of fonts and I love the add on words!
My second card uses the XOXO stamp as a border along the bottom. I stamped it several times. I stamped the heart several times and again used the stitched heart to heat emboss. I’ve added a little linen thread and some metallic enamel dots.
Now who is going to get the favorite card…???
I kept this card very clean and simple, again layering two of the heart images. I added the border stamp and the sentiment. Along the edge, you can see one of the fabulous papers that came in the kit. Quick and simple to make.
Here is a close up so you can see that I added two small embossed hearts as well.
My last card uses another of the papers. This was an ombre affect with words in a variety of fonts. I love this paper! I added a die cut. This is a double die from Simon Says. I love layering words like this. It makes a great focal point for the card and that is all I needed to do with that fabulous background paper!
Another quick and fun set of cards with some great supplies! It was so nice to sit down with a kit that had all the papers and stamp set all coordinating and I could simply throw together some cards.
I’m so happy that you stopped by! Have a wonderful day!
Kim I love these cards. It’s fun to see you using different products. I am slowly becoming a fan of Simon Says!
Aren’t their stamps gorgeous? My problem is that I’ve become a fan of all the stamp companies out there! It’s fun to compare and contrast the different products to see what my favorite things are. There really is a difference in some items.
