Easy Fun Fold Card 4 Ways: Graduation and Birthdays

By | 06/03/2025

Happy June!

Lots going on here.  We just had our pool opened.  It’s a very old pool.  It was installed in 1970, so every year we open it, I’m happy that it’s working.

My plan for the rest of the day is to go to the garden center and get some plants for the deck and the porch.  I have to find things the deer and rabbits won’t eat.  It’s really a challenge.  The deer eat everything.

I have a few cards to share today.  I used one of my fun fold templates and created 4 different cards with it.

I pulled out the Thoughtful Journey 6 x 6″ DSP and used that on 3 of the cards.

I used the Thoughtful Journey DSP for this card.  I love creating scene cards.  This paper takes all the work out of creating a scene card! I used most of the 6 x 6″ sheet of paper.  You get 48 sheets of DSP in the 6 x 6″ packages, so I like when I can use most of a sheet on one card.

I used the Thoughtful Journey paper for the side panel, but I created my own scene for the focal image on this card.  I did some ink blending with the Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, and Cloud Cover ink pads.  I added some white splatter using my white craft reinker.  Then I stamped my trees and sentiment in Secret Sea ink from the Scenic Adventure stamp set.

I liked this so much, I ordered myself the Weekend Adventure Scrapbook Workshop Kit today.  I can’t wait to create some scrapbook layouts with this bundle!

For the focal image of this card, I created my scene with the Wooded Acres stamp set and my Stampin’ Blends.  The sentiment is from the Scenic Adventures stamp set.  I paired this with the Thoughtful Journey DSP and some Shaded Spruce card stock and ink.  I love how this turned out!

My final card uses the Sunrise Sailing Bundle to create both my focal image and the embossed Balmy Blue panel for the side flap of the card.  I used my new In Color inks to stamp the image.  I added some Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel as well.  You can also see the Happy Labels punch details I added to the sentiment to dress it up a little.

The card has two flaps:

This is a great way to use the coordinating embossing folders or the DSP!  You have this large inner flap that happily holds a decorative touch beyond the focal image!

I stamped a few of the sea gulls in Smokey Slate on the inside of the card as well.  This leaves lots of room for your message!!
