This month’s theme for the Challenge YOUrself Scrapbook Challenge is all about Hearts!
I love this theme, but I didn’t want to make a red layout. I really wanted to use the new Everyday You & Me Scrapbook Workshop Kit that I just got from Stampin’ Up! So I forged ahead!
I LOVE this kit. The papers are beautiful and they actually have a lovely textured look to them. I made most of the ephemera on the layout with the coordinating stamp set called Everyday You & Me as well.
The colors include Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat, Lost lagoon, and Mossy Meadow. There are wood veneer laser cut embellishments included in the kit, along with a sticker sheet and a sheet of die cuts. You also get the project instructions for 3 double page layouts that includes cutting and assembly instructions with photos.
I die cut out some hearts in a variety of sizes with the Hearts of Elegance dies. I then sponged on some color so they coordinated with the kit. Don’t the wood pieces add a nice touch to the embellishment clusters?
I did make this into a double page layout. The second page coordinates but is exactly the same as the first page.
The sticker sheet had some nice journaling opportunities. You can see my favorite one in the layout above!
My title pieces came from the Everyday You & Me stamp set. I love when you can get a coordinating stamp set to make some ephemera for your page and it also has a few title opportunities.
I outlined both of the title pieces with a little Pretty Peacock. I thought they were perfect for the theme of the page!!
