Christmas is Here!

Peace on Earth

Okay, I know Christmas is a few weeks away, but it felt like Christmas today!  My Stampin’ Up! order arrived with my new Big Shot, my new trimmer and lots more goodies I can’t wait to start creating with!  I just loved finding those packages on the porch when I got home from work! The fact that some of it was free just made it better!

It is definitely time to get my Christmas cards made.  Last summer as I was browsing the Stampin’ Up! catalog, I fell in love with the Northern Flurry embossing folder.  I made several cards with it and I really love it on the Midnight Muse paper.  It feels like a snowy night!  I Stamped the winter image from the Four Seasons Hostess Stamp Set in the matching color.  I really liked the way it turned out.  I stamped the image twice, punched out the center circle and raised it with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I love the bling the rhinestones add too.  It just gives it a little sparkle.  The sentiment is stamped in the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin’ Pad from the Holiday Mini Catalog.   It really shimmers in person; the picture doesn’t do it justice.  This is an ink pad for darker papers.  It did not show up well on the whisper white card stock.  How do I know?  Let me show you!

The Illuminated Glimmer pad does not show up well on white!

I also used a dauber to try some of the Illuminate ink on the embossed Christmas ornament.  I liked that, but I want to try it in a new way so stay tuned.  I’ll let you know how it works out.  Yea or nay!  I have one final version of the blue card to share with you.  I wanted to show off all of those gorgeous snowflakes.  Let me know what you think!
