The prompt for today’s LOAD (LayOut A Day) scrapbook challenge for the Scrap Happy forum is all about family trees and you get bonus points if you used leaves on the page.
This was a fun one because I used a picture that someone posted on my hometown Facebook group page that showed my grandfather cutting his hair when he was a kid! How fun is that? I remember visiting Grampa in that barber shop!
I used some Altenew papers and more papers from my stash. I believe the ephemera is from Crate Paper. I also couldn’t resist adding my Iridescent Dusk ink spray on the page. I just need a little mixed media!
I actually tried to keep this simple. Yes. This is simple for me! I do love my ephemera and mixed media!
It’s all about layers of things for me!
I love this thicker set that I used for the title. It was a combination of gold and black so those hearts came in the set too. This set is called Honey.
I don’t have a lot of details to share about my page because I’m using stuff from my stash. I feel so good about using up the stash and emptying bins and shelves!!
I spent my money on it and it is not going to go to waste.
I also had a very nice afternoon thinking about all of my grandparents as I was scrapbooking today. I have delightful memories of all of them and each one of them always made me feel loved.
Is there anything better than that?
Have a fantastic day!!! Thank you for stopping by!
