It’s time for a new Challenge YOUrself scrapbook layout challenge. This month’s them is to create a layout about a time you had to dress to impress!
Mine was easy this month! We just got back from our daughter’s wedding. One of Katie’s friends snapped a picture of me, my husband and the bride! That’s the one rule of this challenge: YOU have to be in the photo!
The only time I cried was when we were taking photos before the wedding, and it was a picture of just me with my daughter. That was the moment that the reality hit me…my sweet baby girl was standing next to me dressed in her wedding dress. She was so beautiful!! I cried at the very thought of how momentous the moment was.
It wasn’t a sad moment; it was just a living in the moment moment. The realization that the little girl that used to love to play dress up with her best friend, Emma, was actually getting dressed up for real this time. It was the big day moment.
As you can see, we were all really happy! Two years of planning and engagement and the big day was finally here. We are delighted to have a son-in-law we love who treats our daughter well. What more can you ask for?
I used the Close To My Heart Memory Lane scrapbook and cardmaking workshop kits to create this page. I LOVED the stamp set that came with the Cozy Up cardmaking kit. The sentiments and the thin cut dies are fantastic. I’ve used several of the items to create my own ephemera for this page.
I also used the stamp set that coordinates with the Memory Lane scrapbook kit to create some embellishments as well. It gave me the opportunity to pull out my alcohol markers and spend some time coloring.
This is one of my favorite base page layout designs. It’s a go-to base page design that works well with any collection of papers!

The Memory Lane collection is so pretty. It’s actually perfect for documenting moments like these. It’s also great for new home layouts as well.
I hope you find some time to be creative today! Thank you for stopping by!
